HSM’s Ashley Tisdale Has a “Hot, Good Friend”

Posted by Kameron on April 15, 2009 • Filed under: News UpdatesComments (0)

Eonline.Com: Ashley Tisdale knows how to get over a cheating ex. The HSM star told E!’s Daily 10 the lead single off her new album, titled “It’s Alright, It’s OK,” is about a boyfriend who cheated on her. “I have been cheated on before, so when you do get cheated on you’re like, I am so much better without you,” she says. She adds that it’s not about her most recent ex. “It wasn’t about Jared (Murillo)…it was before that,” says Tisdale. When asked about recent speculation she was dating music-video director Scott Speer, Ashley tells E!’s Daily 10, “I’m not in a relationship. I’m single…but he’s a good friend of mine.” “He’s a really hot, good friend of mine.” Speer and Tisdale have collaborated in the past on another music video, but they most recently worked together on the video for her new single. “Me and Scott Speer worked on it for three months, on the treatment—we have a really good creative relationship,” says Tisdale. According to pictures taken by National Photo Group, it seems the two may be closer than Tisdale is letting on. Speer and Tisdale were photographed together on April 8 when the singer arrived from a flight at LAX. In the picture, Tisdale is holding a big bouquet of flowers and Speer is pushing her luggage cart.

Bravo Magazine Reports that Ashley is indeed Single again

Thanks to a visitor for sending this in! Exclusively, Ashley tells BRAVO, that it’s over with her and her boyfriend Jared Murillo (20). “We broke up a few weeks before. It didn’t work anymore. We hardly saw each other.” Ashley confesses. Wow! Though, she seems very calm as she continues with low voice: “We grew apart. Jared’s always busy with his Boy band V Factory and I’m on the road a lot because of my career, too. It got more and more complicated to meet each other.” In 2007 she met Jared on the Set of “High School Musical” – he was a background dancer.

They were considered as a dream couple without scandals. Now, after their break-up, Ashley got to be lovesick, right? Not at all! The petite Ashley is overflowing with energy. Curiously, she walks through the office, talks to everyone and she even wants to help crating her BRAVO-Cover. She seems really happy. “I’m really fine. I enjoy my new single-life – and hey, I’m still young! That wasn’t my last relationship for sure.” Despite the Love-Chaos, the Superstar is super-happy.

“It’s Alright, It’s OK” Music Video to Premiere on April 21st

Ashley Tisdale, the singer and actress known to millions as the star of the blockbuster High School Musical series, will release a brand-new single, “It’s Alright, It’s OK,” to Top 40 radio and all digital retailers on April 14th. Co-written by Swedish production team Twin, the song is a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time.

“I love break-up songs,” Tisdale says. “Everyone can relate to those moments when you need to vent your frustration about a previous relationship. ‘It’s Alright, It’s OK’ is about how you need to stand up for yourself and not let someone walk all over you; it’s a message I wanted to get across to other girls.”

An accompanying video to “It’s Alright, It’s OK” will premiere on MySpace’s on April 21st with feature support from such major online partners as AOL Music and Yahoo! Music, and MTV.com will premiere exclusive “making of the video” footage the week of the single’s release. Tisdale stars in the video with actor Adam Gregory (the CW’s 90210), who plays her ex-boyfriend. The clip was directed by Scott Speer, who has helmed previous videos for Tisdale as well as those from Jordin Sparks and David Archuleta.

“It’s Alright, It’s OK” is the perfect introduction to Tisdale’s upcoming second album from Warner Bros. Records, Guilty Pleasure, which will be released on June 16th, 2009. Tisdale worked with a host of top-flight producers and songwriters, such as Kara DioGuardi (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood), Toby Gad (Beyoncé, Fergie), Billy Steinberg (Madonna), Emanuel Kiriakou (David Archuleta, Nick Lachey), and Twin (who co-wrote her previous singles “Not Like That” and “Be Good To Me”) and co-wrote several of the album’s tracks. With an edgy, guitar-driven pop-rock sound, Guilty Pleasure is a creative and mature leap forward for this appealing young singer and songwriter, who launched a career as a solo artist with the gold-certified Top 5 rhythmic-pop debut Headstrong in 2007.

Ashley Tisdale Answers Fan Questions

Posted by Joanna on April 5, 2009 • Filed under: News UpdatesComments (0)

Ashley Tisdale stopped by the MTV Buzzworthy offices while she was in NYC last week.

The 23-year-old singer answered tons of questions that her fans submitted. She shared about the inspiration for the songs on her upcoming album, “The inspiration was really songs that I could connect to. On the first album was everything that I’d experienced [so far]. [On this album] it wasn’t what I’d experienced, but stuff I could connect to. For example, ‘How Do You Love Someone’ is about a broken family and how this girl grew up never really feeling loved and she’s questioning if she can love someone having such a messed up past. I have a really great family that are very loving, but I connected to it in a way that it’s a strong survival song.”

Guilty Pleasure hits stores on June 16th.
