Celebrity starlets, they’re a lot like us. The rehearsing cast of High School Musical 3 took a snack break at local Salt Lake City pizza parlor Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana last Tuesday, E! News has learned. Disney stars Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens patronized the joint and split a margherita pizza and salad, with the total bill coming to less than $20 bucks. And according to Mike the manager, the girls left a very generous tip, doubling the actual bill. “They were supernice and generous and left a big tip. Really big. Really nice of them.” OK, so maybe they’re a little like us…but a lot more generous!
During its Up Front presentation, dubbed “The Next Big Thing,” Disney highlighted programming for the 2008-09 season, including 445 hours of new content to be presented across Playhouse Disney, Disney Channel and Toon Disney/Jetix. Among the shows getting new episode orders is the animated hit comedy Phineas and Ferb, which will launch into a second season after scoring solid ratings during its initial run. Created and exec produced by Dan Povenmire (Family Guy) and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh (The Simpsons), Phineas and Ferb is a musically infused 2D show that revolves around Phineas Flynn and his stepbrother, Ferb Fletcher, who set out with their pet platypus in tow to conquer boredom and make every day of their 104-day summer vacation count. While they’re out having reckless fun, older sister Candace does her best to get them busted. The animated comedy series “Phineas and Ferb” makes a new premiere tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 12. In the new episode (titled The Ballad of Badbeard), the boys set out on a high-seas adventure after learning about a mysterious pirate from their grandpa; Candace spies Perry and Dr. Doofenschmirtz up to their old tricks. Next week on Saturday, April 19 you can watch another new “Phineas and Ferb” episode on Disney Channel. The new episode is titled Greece Lightning; Leave the Busting to Us!. In the episode, the boys stage a chariot race through the town’s streets after learning about ancient Greece; Candace uses a reality show to secretly film her brothers designing a white-water rafting ride.
