Mtv.Com: When MTV News caught up with “High School Musical” alum Ashley Tisdale at the party, she revealed just who she likes to get phone calls from. “Probably, when I’m overseas, [a call] from my family members,” the singer said. And she was quick to point out just who she doesn’t like calling her: “My ex-boyfriend,” she said. Tisdale recently broke up with V Factory member Jared Murillo. Tisdale, who is best friends with the likes of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, also shared that the biggest names in her phone aren’t her former “HSM” co-stars, but a former boy-bander. “I do have Nick Lachey,” she said, laughing. “I have a lot of friends. I’m not going to name them all.” Unfortunately for Tisdale, Timberlake isn’t yet in her contact list. “I would love to work with him,” she said. “I would like his number. I know, seriously, [if I had it] we could be best friends.” Ashley also shared what she would and wouldn’t do for $50,000. Climb the Empire State Building? “I don’t know about that one,” she said. “I’m scared of heights.” Open-mouth kiss a dog? “Maybe.” Pose nude? “No.”

Moviesblog.Mtv.Com: She’s helped revitalize the song and dance genre with “High School Musical,” and now she hopes to do the same for alien invasion flicks. Come July 31, Ashley Tisdale will star in “They Came From Upstairs,” a teen-friendly flick about Tisdale and a gaggle of friends helping starve off an extraterrestrial assault. Check out the exclusive trailer premiere below.
Mtv.com: Ashley Tisdale knows a thing or two about dancing, thanks to her work as the catty Sharpay in the first three “High School Musical” movies. So it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the singer/actress follows “Dancing With the Stars.” This season, Tisdale is banking on an Olympic athlete to take home the gold.
“I think Shawn [Johnson] is a really good one. I think Shawn is good,” she told MTV News about the 17-year-old gymnast. “I think [she could win], and [her partner] Mark Ballas is a really good dancer as well.”
But Tisdale isn’t counting out any of the contestants, including Steve-O and Lil’ Kim, adding, “I love Julianne [Hough] and her boyfriend [country singer Chuck Wicks]. They’re definitely so cute, and they’re really sweet in real life.”
In the past, Disney acts like the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus have performed on the show, and some Disney stars have even been part of the cast. Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan, “High School Musical” actress Monique Coleman and “Hannah Montana” star Cody Linley have all competed.
Tisdale, who’s busy promoting her album Guilty Pleasure and the movie “They Came From Upstairs,” isn’t quite ready to make the leap into competitive dancing. “I don’t know,” she said. “Not yet!”
Mtv.com: (…) No one ever really confirmed or denied the rumors until today, when Hudgens’ BFF and fellow “High School Musical” star Ashley Tisdale assured MTV News that if Hudgens auditioned, she’d know about it before the gossip blogs. “I don’t think so,” she said. “I think that could have been a rumor. Don’t believe the rumors! She would tell me if she did.”
With that out of the way, Tisdale admitted to being a fan of “Twilight,” as well as the movie’s star, Robert Pattinson. “I’ve seen the movie. I haven’t read the books though,” she said. “I thought it was really good, but I’m not the one who’s read the book so I can’t say what’s different. I thought they did a great job. I’m a big fan of Robert Pattinson’s.”
Given the fact that she doesn’t know much about “New Moon,” Tisdale couldn’t make any suggestions about which character she’d like to play in any future “Twilight” movies. Unlike every other young actor in Hollywood, Tisdale never auditioned for “Twilight,” but would love the chance to play a vampire because “it is more fun.”
But, if Tisdale could turn back time, there is one role she’d most want to be cast as. “Bella, for sure,” she said. Why? “Robert Pattinson.” Of course.
