MovieHole.net: At 24, Ashley Tisdale is one of the most in-demand young actresses around Hollywood these days thanks to her performance in the mega-hit film franchise, ”High School Musical”. Since the last instalment of HSM wrapped last year, Tisdale has been focusing on expanding her film repertoire. Which is why she doesn’t sing or dance in her latest film. Instead she plays a love struck teen who reluctantly helps her brother and cousins save earth from annihilation when a group of little green men land in their attic. Gaynor Flynn caught up the 24-year-old actress to chat about her latest film, her new album and what else she’d like to do in the future.Are you like your movie character Bethany at all?

I think probably when I was younger. Maybe when I was seventeen, maybe when I was her age. I definitely think that I was all about my boyfriend and everything is about him. So I definitely think that I relate to her. She’s like more controlling, I feel. I think there are really good qualities about her. I think that at the very end when she finds out what Ricky (her boyfriend played by Robert Hoffman) is really like, she’s really good and she kinda sticks up for her family which is awesome. You know,‘ cause usually sometimes, I think that sometimes girls can be a little bit, you know, kinda weaker in that state. I think that she’s a really strong person, she’s a little bit headstrong.

And eventually she gets her vengeance by the end of the movie which is really funny… Oh yeah, she gets back. She gets revenge.

Ashley Tisdale Talks Friendship With Miley

Ashley Tisdale is a girl’s girl who hangs with BFFs like Miley Cyrus and High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens.

“I think it’s always important to have girlfriends because guys tend to come and go,” the singer/actress, 24, tells me. “It’s always great to have those girlfriends for support, and who have your best intentions and who you can trust.”

When they get a free afternoon, they’re known to hit up the local mall.

“I like to go shopping,” Ash confesses. “I’m a big fan of purses and sunglasses. I love Balenciaga bags, and Givenchy bags.”

What is Miley, 16, like as a friend?

“She’s a real sweetheart. She’s a big sweetheart, actually. She’s someone who has really stayed true to herself, and she hasn’t changed for how successful and huge she is. She’s really grounded and so is her family. They’re very supportive people. She’s somebody who’s always there to listen, and she’s a great person.”

“Masquerade” Music Video Contest

AshleyTisdale.com: Ashley wants you to create your own music video for her song “Masquerade!” Get your friends together and come up with some creative ideas, record your video, and enter to win an autographed prize pack from Ashley!Here’s how to enter:

- Create an original music video for Ashley’s song “Masquerade.” Don’t have the song? Get it on iTunes here.

- Each video must include any kind of mask. You can make your own masks or purchase your own. The more creative the better!

- Once your video is done, submit it to Ashley’s Facebook Page.

Each video entry needs a minimum of 100 views and/or 50 comments to be considered eligible. Make sure you send it to your friends, Tweet about it, and spread it around to get your view count up! You may submit as many videos as you want. The possibilities are endless!

Entries must be submitted by Sunday, October 4th. Winners will be selected based on how many views & comments their video has, the creative concept of the video, and the use of a mask.
