NEW ZEALAND’S JUST WHAT SHE’S BEEN LOOKING FOR

Posted by Kameron on February 29, 2008 • Filed under: News UpdatesComments (0)

Hollywood star Ashley Tisdale isn’t shy about why she likes New Zealand. “Kiwis are awesome,” she says, between takes on the set of her new movie. “They’re really cute, too.” The 22-year-old actress – who shot to fame with young viewers as spoilt rich girl Sharpay Evans in the Disney hit High School Musical – has been in New Zealand for four weeks, shooting the $60 million comedy, They Came From Upstairs. Tisdale’s first feature is set in a rambling old villa transported from Remuera to a farm in North Auckland. Security is tight, and film-makers have asked to keep the location secret. But fans still managed to find the star filming at Narrow Neck Beach. “There were, like, 20 guys around my age, standing on the side,” she says. “I came out and they were like, whistling and stuff. I don’t really have that a lot. I usually get the young kids but seeing, like, a bunch of guys waiting, I was like, ‘Wow, that’s awesome, I don’t know what to do. Should I go over and talk to them?”‘ Click Read More for the full article! :minic_wink:

ASHLEY TISDALE DOLLS GOING THROUGH SOME CHANGES

Posted by Kameron on February 28, 2008 • Filed under: News UpdatesComments (0)

I recently talked to Hugo Stevenson who works with Huckleberry Toys (company producing Ashley Tisdale’s official dolls). He went ahead and let me know that the first series of dolls were made in very short supply and only a handful were given to Ashley’s publicist to use in magazine giveaways. He also let me know that the initial run of dolls will be very hard to find, as they only shipped very limited quantities because they are doing a running change on the head and the new dolls will not ship for awhile yet. The second series will be completely different. The new head is 3% smaller and has different painted eyes/eyebrows which look more life like. Due to a number of time issues, they made an initial small run of dolls which will be hitting stores in the next few days that have the heads we have seen. The new head should make it’s debut around the end of April in stores. These first ones will really be collector’s pieces since so few were made and they have a different head. :minic_smile:Source: Ashley-T.Com

‘FAMILY GUY’ MEETS ‘SPONGEBOB’ IN NEW DISNEY SHOW

Posted by Kameron on February 22, 2008 • Filed under: News UpdatesComments (0)

Here’s a quiz for cartoon lovers: What do you get when you combine “The Simpsons”‘ acerbic pop culture references, “Family Guy’s” irony and the broad slapstick humour of “SpongeBob SquarePants”? For veteran animators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, the result is Phineas and Ferb,” a world populated by a pet platypus and a kid with a triangular-shaped head who has a penchant for turning his back yard into things like ski resorts, surfing beaches and monster truck rallies, without his parents ever catching on. “We always like to say ‘Phineas and Ferb’ is about the midway point between ‘Family Guy’ and ‘SpongeBob,’ ” says Povenmire, co-creator with Marsh of the show that airs on the Disney Channel in the United States and Family Channel in Canada. Povenmire says the show uses a lot of prime-time understated acting that is a “Family Guy” hallmark, “but we still have big cartoony stuff happening.” Click Read More for the full article!

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 TO RECEIVE OCTOBER 24 RELEASE

Posted by Kameron on February 22, 2008 • Filed under: News UpdatesComments (0)

High School Musical 3: Senior Year, the feature-film follow-up to the two popular Disney television movies, will be released on October 24, according to Variety. The film, directed by Kenny Ortega and scripted by Peter Barsocchini, will reportedly find high school seniors Troy and Gabriella (played by Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens) “facing the prospect of being separated from one another as they head off in different directions to college. Joined by the rest of the Wildcats, they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about their future.” Among the other Disney films on the horizon, according to Variety, are Confessions of a Shopaholic, starring Hugh Dancy (February 14, 2009); Old Dogs, starring John Travolta and Robin Williams (April 10, 2009); The Hannah Montana Movie (May 1, 2009); and Tim Burton’s 3-D version of Alice in Wonderland (March 19, 2010).

NEW “IT’S THE WAY” SONG INFORMATION + DISNEY MANIA 6

Posted by Kameron on February 17, 2008 • Filed under: News UpdatesComments (0)

Today, while browsing through Bryan Todd’s Myspace (Producer of “Over It,” “I Will Be Me, “Who I Am,” and “It’s The Way”), I noticed a new group he was working with titled A-List. A few months ago I was speaking with Sarah (Marketing Assoicate for Warner Brothers Records) and she told me that they have no plans to release Ashley’s version of “It’s The Way” (which was to be released on a re-release of “Headstrong” but Warner Brothers Records scrapped the whole idea of re-releasing Ashley’s debut album). So due to this, Bryan Todd passed on the song to A-List. I have the song for you to download sung by A-List, so that you can get an idea of how it would’ve sound. I’ve also added the lyrics thanks to Ruben. I also wanted to mention that Bryan Todd is working on some new material for “Disney Mania 6″ which will be out sometime in May 2008. There’s no official word yet if Ashley will be on the album or not. :minic_wink: A-List – It’s The Way

[CONFIRMED] ASHLEY TISDALE: NO PLANS FOR BOOB JOB

Posted by Kameron on February 16, 2008 • Filed under: News UpdatesComments (0)

Ashley Tisdale may have gotten a nose job for a deviated septum, but that is where she draws the line. “Completely false,” her rep says in the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now, when asked if the High School Musical singer, 22, wants to get a boob job. Star magazine recently reported that Tisdale had contemplated the procedure.Source: USMagazine.Com
